Update: Disruptions at Daxion web sites...

Presently and over the past months we are experiencing technical disturbances and disruptions at our web sites. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

In January, 2009, we changed servers and after this there have been issues regarding offline pages (and sites), issues with page versions [not the newest page shown] and with errors in pages [broken links, missing menus]. We want to inform our users that the reasons are lacking maintenance on our part and that the provider of services [web host, servers] are blameless.

The site maintenance is done by one webmaster, myself [Björn Snellman]. Since moving from Sweden to Russia in September, 2008, I have unfortunately been busy elsewhere and unable to maintain the web sites as should have been required.

However, now I am hoping to resume the maintenance and repairs will gradually be performed over the coming days, weeks and months. The Daxion web sites, will arise stronger, better and more popular than before.

Daxion Community™ now have been upgraded with the latest version of the phpBB script. Daxion uses the premod version from www.phpbb-seo.com.
Users may find an over all more appealing look with the new script as well as new functions and a more versatile user interface. More features will be added with the coming release of GYM Sitemaps & RSS, making the community more visible within SERPs as well as easier followup for existing users.

This is to announce that Daxion Marketplace™ has been officially released as the newest addition among the web sites operated by Daxion.

Daxion Marketplace™ has had its own domain for a few months already, and the content has been developed since the domain was registered. The idea behind Daxion Marketplace™ goes a couple of years back and has been a laboratory like site as a sub domain to daxion.net for a few years.

Daxion Marketplace™ is now open for business, but will still be in a beta-like state for quite some time. The targeted market is at first United States, but will soon expand to United Kingdom as well as to Sweden and Finland.

Half Life 2: Episode 2: Releases October 9, 2007

Release date confirmed by Valve of the second part in the trilogy sequel to Half-Life 2. Episode One released last year in June and Episode Two is now being released October 9, 2007 as part of "The Orange Box".

Half Life2: Episode2 - NEW Release ETA

According to sources at VALVe the expected release of Half Life2: Episode 2 is now postponed a second time. No release date is yet set by VALVe, but the release of Ep2 is now expected Summer 2007. Originally the release was planned for Holidays 2006 and was then pushed to Q1 and now to summer 2007.

Valve has released three Gameplay Movies today. The videos show some of the new locations from Half Life 2: Episode 2. We are also entertained with some of the open style combat, to be more present from Episode Two. Valve also states that the videos demonstrate better shadowing effects and a new particle system - due to the updated Source Engine.

Valve has today distributed a third video teaser of Half Life 2: Episode 2.

The new video is finally revealing more from inside the upcoming Episode 2. And Ohh soo sweet it is... We see some of G-man and Alyx, as she obviously is hurt. Dog attacks striders and what not... I will make some updates to the information about the Episode 2 storyline, as this now is possible. I'll be back about that, meanwhile: Go and see the video here.

Closed: DAXION casino closes due to the Internet Gambling bill

For immediate release:

DAXION has decided to close down the DAXION casino web site.

The decision is done due to the Internet Gambling bill "H.R. 4411: Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006" passing in the US House of Representatives on June 11, 2006. The bill proposes a federal prohibition on online gambling.

A bill is a legislative proposal before Congress. A bill must be passed by both the House and Senate and then be signed by the President before it becomes law. The Internet Gambling bill is not yet a law.

DAXION have chosen to consider the bill a strong intention by the United States Government to prohibit online gambling for its citizens. Due to this intention, Daxion will not continue to market online gambling at all. The target audience of DAXION casino has primarily been gamblers residing in the United States.

The parts of Daxion web sites containing gambling related content will be taken down within the coming days and weeks and the use of the term 'DAXION casino' will end as of this statement.

This is a commercial decision and Daxion is not in any way taking a political stand. Daxion will concentrate on other parts of our web sites. We thank our users for the use of our gambling related sites over the past years.

Valve confirms a delay of Ep2 in an interview in Eurogamer. Any release date is not mentioned closer than Q1. DAXION games sets the date to February 28, 2007 awaiting further notice. Follow the development of the coming releases of Half Life 2 sequel trilogy at DAXION games.

Half Life 2: Episode Two is the second part in the trilogy sequel that continues where the finale of Half Life 2 ends. Release of Half Life 2: Episode 2 (Ep2) is presently set to Holyday 2006.

Kristen Salvatore, Executive Editor at gamers magazine PCgamer states on pcgamer.com that the release of Half-Life 2: Episode Two will be out by Holidays 2006 as previously announced, this according to a statement from Valve.

In the forums there has been a confusion around a possible delay from Valve with the release of Ep2. This is not the case, the release is still on track. Episode Three is currently planned for release in the second half of 2007.

Continuing the ongoing redesign of my pages, DAXION games has been updated as follows:

Available flash games for full screen play are now: Bush Shoot Out, Bush Royal Rampage, Crimson Room, Chasm, Pharaoh's Tomb, 3 Foot Ninja and 3 Foot Ninja 2. On request links to walk through for Crimson Room, Viridian Room and White Chamber has been added.

DAXION can now proudly present: DAXION community forums, the latest addition to the DAXION websites family.

The community is still not yet created, it will come to grow with the evolution of eBusiness Manual. What now is being released is the platform; the forums that will serve, not only eBusiness Manual, but all DAXION websites.
